A few lucky cities get a Shintoho Mind Warp

For the fortunate Japanese exploitation movie fans in New York, Philadelphia, San Fransisco, and Vancouver, know that a tour of eight relatively obscure Shintoho movies from the 50’s and 60’s will be playing as part of the traveling ‘Into the Shintoho Mind Warp: Girls, Guns & Ghosts from the Second Golden Age of Japanese Film’ film festival through Japan Society.

Titles include Ghost Story of Yotsuya, The Ghost Cat of Otama Pond, The Horizon Glitters, Vampire Bride, Flesh Pier, Death Row Woman, Revenge of the Pearl Queen, and Yellow Line. All titles are presented with English subtitles from a Blu-Ray (which must be custom, since I don’t think these are available on Blu Ray even in Japan). I admit that I haven’t actually seen any of these myself, but if you ever want to see these on a big screen (or possibly even outside of fansubs), now’s the time.
